Ebco Cyclotrons

The control systems of the Ebco TR30 and TR13 cyclotrons were designed and implemented using PLC technology and off-the shelf user interface builder software.

An Allen Bradley PLC5  handles all aspects of individual device control and some sequencing tasks. It is programmed in Ladder Logic.

The user interface is configured using Allen Bradley's ControlView software which runs on a PC platform. The operator console consists of two PCs. They supervise the PLC,   exchange commands and data via Allen Bradley Data Highway+, and provide alarms, data logging, event responses, and slow sequencing.
